How long should my hair be for waxing?
Hair should be at least 1/4inch to 1/2inch for the best results. Please dont shave for at least 3 weeks prior to your appointment.
How often should I get Waxed?
Ideally every 4/6 weeks. Everyone is different. Regular waxing is essential to get the best results. If you have regular waxing over time the hair follicle weakens and it is easier to remove the hair. Regular waxing = less skin sensitivity, less pain, sparse regrowth.
What should i do before my appointment?
Make sure hair is the right lengh, if youve just shaved then it will be a waste of your time and money.
Make sure the area to be waxed is clean.
If you are on mediation check with you GP first. Some medications can cause more skin sensitivity, iritation or a reaction to waxing. (Retin-A,Accutane,Blood thinners, steroid cream)
Can i shave between appointments?
No! It will only disrupt the cycle of your hair growth.
Will the hair come back darker/thicker?
Waxing weakens the hair follicle, it doesnt create new ones. If anything after regular waxing hair growth will become sparse and softer
Will the waxed area be smooth after one wax?
Everyone is different and it could take up to 5 regular waxing sessions every 4 weeks before you have smooth skin. Dont be disheartened though, its worth it in the long run!
